There are many different methods for the surgical correction and follow-up treatment of cruciate ligament injuries. Every doctor and/surgeon will have his/her own follow-up ideas and every knee joint reacts differently to exercising after surgery. Therefore, we will not suggest a generally valid treatment procedure.

We would, nevertheless, like to pass on a few recommendations:

All movements should always be carried out evenly, gently and without pain
Gradually increase the frequency and duration of exercise
Exercise several (3-4) times a day
Increase the duration of exercise gradually from 5 minutes to up to 30 minutes
To ensure optimal comfort, lean the upper part of the body against a solid object (e.g. the wall, bed) when exercising. This will avoid putting pressure on the pelvis during exercise.
If prescribed by the doctor, movement resistance can be increased using the positioning wheel.

Please discuss the format of your subsequent treatment with your prescribing physician.
